The Saunders this year was blessed by excellent weather, which made it all the nicer in which to compete.  Nikki and Sue did extremely well in the Wansfell Class, coming 63rd overall and 3rd on Veterans handicap.  As far as I can see they were the oldest team in the whole event at 137 years.

I ran in the Carrock Fell class with Nigel Coe, an old friend who now lives in Coniston in the Lake District.  We came 89th overall and 11th on veterans handicap which I was very pleased with.  Teams from WSX (Ian Sayer & Tim Houlder, Julie Astin & Tina Stratford) did well too, in the Harter Fell Class.
